For continuous monitoring of the aquatic environment, express analysis based on the photometric method is used, which, based on absorption spectra, allows one to identify the presence of hydrocarbons and determine their approximate concentration. These are, as a rule, the products of engine operation in the form of oils and fuel residues, as well as the results of the vital activity of people, animals and birds that enter the wastewater. When an excess of the concentration of organic matter in wastewater is detected, water is taken, and the content of impurities in it is determined by standard analysis in laboratories.

The sensor constantly monitors the content of decomposition products of organic compounds in the water. It is used to control wastewater by a generalized indicator.

The sensor is suitable for analyzing water after filters – for quality control of filter cartridges. The service life of filters depends on both the volume and the quality of the filtered water – the worse the water quality, the shorter the filter life.

What is the quality of the water in the tap? What do you get from tap water – bowel disease and kidney stones? What kind of water do you drink: boiled, bottled, filtered or from the tap?

Most of the impurities in tap water are quite harmless and do not leave toxins in the body. We get quite safe tap water. However, any impurities radically worsen the taste of water and interfere with cooking on it: tea is not brewed, vegetables turn brown during cooking, meat and fish acquire an unpleasant aftertaste. Therefore, water quality control becomes a necessity.

Installing a sensor in each apartment is quite an expensive pleasure, but the association can afford a water quality monitoring sensor common to a house. At the same time, ALL residents of the house, as well as the organization serving the water supply, will have information on the quality of water on the Internet. The quality of water can be determined not only by the level of its treatment at treatment facilities, but also by natural disasters – for example, rainstorms, the discharge of waste from livestock and poultry farms, repair work, a broken water supply system or its corrosion.

Water quality monitoring sensor – useful for kindergartens, schools, hospitals and organizations that use water for cooking – pizzerias, cafes, restaurants, hotels.

Thanks to the BALANCE automated control system, it is possible to obtain information on the water quality for each object equipped with a sensor and D100FC radio modules, and the number of monitoring objects is unlimited. The system is applicable for year-round monitoring and is convenient because there is no need to visit these objects to retrieve information from all objects.

The current consumed by the radio module is insignificant, and a lithium battery of size A lasts up to six years of autonomous operation.

It is possible to connect additional sensors: temperature, humidity and the content of volatile organic substances in the air.
